since original introduction in 1965, has been updated several times, including introduction of colour television in 1975. line thickened feature colour in logo. 1975 logo longest-running logo, lifespan of 27 years. in 2001, introduction of digital television in australia, abc television adopted modified version of logo, featuring silver 3d , losing on , under design. however, despite launch of logo, 1975 logo still used corporation. in july 2002, celebrate abc s 70th anniversary, corporation adopted new logo across media. new logo still used silver 3d colour reverted on , under design. in 2014, part of abc1 s renaming abc tv , 1975 logo brought on-air presentation. despite this, 2002 silver logo remains in usage corporation.
