in late 2015 announced hutchinson join tas bmw motorrad, campaigning bmw s1000rr superbike , standard bmw s1000rr superstock 2016 season.

hutchinson enjoyed success in superstock race @ north west 200, in took tas bmw s1000rr first place, peter hickman in second place , alastair seeley in third. followed runner place on podium, behind michael dunlop, in superbike race run @ 2016 event.

hutchinson , dunlop arrived on isle of man amongst favourites take honours in main races @ 2016 isle of man tt. week s worth of fine weather during qualifying, saw hutchinson power tas bmw s1000rr superstock machine new lap record, beating previous 1 set john mcguinness on superbike previous year. however, time recorded unofficial had been set in practice. opening superbike tt race saw hutchinson , dunlop @ head of field start finish. hutchinson trailed dunlop throughout, although did manage record 2 laps inside previous course record. hutchinson finished second dunlop 19.06 seconds after 226 miles of racing.
on monday june 6, having secured win on board 600 cc yamaha yzf-r6, hutchinson made 2 wins in day victory riding 1000 cc bmw in superstock tt. in race led start, hutchinson broke lap , race records.
on 8 june hutchy took victory in second supersport event of tt week, fourth consecutive supersport win @ 2015 , 2016 tts, amassing points-total win joey dunlop trophy, tt championship, second year running.

hutchinson descends bray hill on way victory in 2016 junior tt
for 2016 season, hutchinson again campaigned yamaha yzf-r6 in supersport class. hutchinson opened account @ 2016 north west 200 taking 2nd place behind alastair seeley in opening supersport race on ttc yamaha yzf-r6.
isle of man tt
at isle of man tt hutchinson took top spot on podium in opening supersport 600 race. in perfect conditions hutchinson led race start finish ensuring victory team second consecutive year.
in second 600cc outing of week, junior tt, hutchinson again led race start finish, claiming 14th tt victory , putting him level on number of races won mike hailwood.
