in conjunction abc s radio division, new media , digital services implemented abc s first podcasts in december 2004. mid-2006 abc had become international leader in podcasting on fifty podcast programmes delivering hundreds of thousands of downloads per week, including trial video podcasts of chaser s war on , jtv.
in february 2007, new media & digital services division dissolved , divided amongst other areas of abc. replaced new innovation division, manage abc online , investigate new technologies abc.
in 2015 innovation division replaced digital network division.
