Cerium.28III.29 nitrates Cerium nitrate

cerous nitrate crystal miller index notation

anhydrous cerous nitrate, called cerium(iii) nitrate, anhydrous salt formula ce(no3)3.(cas number 85874-44-8).
cerium nitrate hexahydrate, formula ce(no3)3.6h2o (cas number 10294-41-4) common nitrate of cerium(iii). component in burn treatment cream includes silver sulphadiazine. concentrations used 0.5 m cerium nitrate. serious burns reduces death rate. @ 150 °c hexahydrate loses water of crystallization make trihydrate, decomposes above 200 °c. cerous nitrate hexahydrate has pinacoidal triclinic crystals.
hydronium cerium(iii) nitrate hydrate, ce(no3)5(h3o)2.h2o monoclinic space group p2/c. diaquapentanitratocerate(iii) anion (ce(no3)5(h2o)2) occurs in several salts. salts have extreme non-linear optical properties.
