hunting permitted on 96 acres (39 ha) of reeds gap state park. hunters expected follow rules , regulations of pennsylvania game commission. common game species ruffed grouse, squirrels, turkey, white-tailed deer, , black bears. honey creek stocked trout pennsylvania fish , boat commission. there population of native trout in honey creek , tributaries.

a swimming pool built in 1965 replace dam in honey creek. shallow @ both ends, reaching greatest depth of 5 feet in middle. diving prohibited. lifeguards stationed @ pool 11:00 until 7:00 pm. main lifeguard post located on west side of pool @ deepest point. pool opened on memorial day weekend , closed labor day weekend. shallower kiddie pool adjacent main pool. announced in march 2009 both adult pool , kid pool not reopening 2009 season, amid mounting safety concerns , long list of structural problems. pool demolished, , not rebuilt. there 4 wooded picnic areas @ reeds gap state park 3 pavilions.


hiking, cross-country skiing , camping

there 5 hiking trails @ reeds gap state park. reeds gap spur trail longest @ 18 miles (29 km). begins @ park office , crosses on reeds gap poe valley state park. other trails under 2 miles (3.2 km) , pass through woods , follow banks of honey creek. trails open cross-country skiing during winter months. campers limited using tents in rustic camping area.
