during model year 1969, four-door station wagons of mid-sized chevrolet chevelle, produced since 1964, renamed: standard-trim station wagon known chevelle 300 renamed nomad, while medium-trim chevelle 300 deluxe called greenbrier. top-of-the-line model, chevelle malibu 135/136, became concours , concours estate wagon, latter being distinguished exterior woodgrain paneling. except simplest nomad line (which available in six-seater form), station wagons ordered either 6 or 9 seats. power came inline-sixes (not available nine-seaters) or v8 engines.
for 1970, chevelle 300 deluxe series called chevelle , inline-six engine no longer available in station wagons. in 1972 series model code changed 1c. nomad, greenbrier, , concours names dropped 1973, when chevelle redesigned , wagons began sharing series names other body styles.
