CCM™ signals Cardiac contractility modulation

illustration of ccm™ signal delivery

cardiac contractility modulation ( ccm™) acts on cardiac muscle during absolute refractory period via specific electrical signals generated pulse generator. signals applied approximately 30 ms after onset of qrs complex (normal total qrs duration: ≤ 120 ms). signal consists of 2 bi-phasic pulses amplitude of ± 7.7 v , total signal duration of 20 ms.

since ccm™ signals delivered during absolute refractory period of cardiac cycle, neither trigger muscle contractions nor cause activation of additional muscle fibers. accordingly, heart’s electrical , mechanical activation sequence remains unchanged. ccm™ signals contain around 500 times more energy signals conventional pacemakers, peaks can recognized in electrocardiogram (ecg).
