diammonium cerium(iv) nitrate
the alkali metals form orange-red monoclinic crystals double salt ceric nitrate: m

6]2−
has cerium in +4 oxidation state. used reagent in oxidimetry.
ceric potassium nitrate k
2[ce(no
3)
6] has 2 different crystal forms, hexagonal , monoclinic. slow evaporation , crystallization results in monoclinic form. fast crystallization results in mixture of 2 shapes. both of these forms have 6 nitrate groups connected via 2 oxygens each cerium [ce(no
