in 1975 graduated temple law school and, 3 friends law school, became co-founder of juvenile law center of philadelphia. after few years, had opportunity represent migrant farm laborers , begin workers rights law project serve workers trying organize within labor organization create more democratic , active unions. contacted center constitutional rights (ccr), looking lawyer go gaza , occupied west bank prepare case involving civilian deaths israeli occupation. began current work life cooperating attorney ccr, works on cases in international human rights docket.


on july 19, 2008, chomsky filed status report on civil action no. 05-cv-1645 on behalf of hussein salem mohammed. according chomsky petition habeas corpus filed on august 16, 2005. in response united states department of justice filed redacted , incomplete factual return on june 5, 2006. additionally, on 26 april 2007, dta appeal under detainee treatment act of 2005—almerfedi v. gates (civil action no. 07-cv-1132).
