early career

after graduating university, khoo worked in public relations luxury fashion retailer thomas pink 2 years. looking adventure in life , no knowledge of french, quit job @ thomas pink , undertook three-month patisserie course @ le cordon bleu in paris in 2006. while living in paris, worked part-time au pair , sold perfume @ upscale department store, printemps. after graduating le cordon bleu, worked @ parisian cookbook store , café, la cocotte, ran baking workshops , served store s pastry chef .

while working @ la cocotte, attended cookery events various book launches. american cookbook author marc grossman had khoo test recipes 1 of books, , encounter later led meeting editor. in 2010, khoo received first publishing deal 2 french-language cookery books: barres à céreales, muesli et granola maison , pâtes à tartiner published marabout. both of these later translated english rachel khoo s muesli , granola, , rachel khoo s sweet , savory pâtés. during time, worked briefly in germany freelancer volkswagen ran food-related events.

khoo released second english-language cookbook, little french kitchen, chronicling travels across france, in september 2013, published michael joseph. little french kitchen sold upwards of 1,000 copies week. in 2014, completed filming 2 new cooking series bbc worldwide: rachel khoo’s kitchen notebook: london , rachel khoo s kitchen notebook: cosmopolitan cook. both series aired in uk , internationally. in rachel khoo s kitchen notebook: cosmopolitan cook, visited various european , eurasian cities, including stockholm , istanbul, , cooked dishes inspired travels. in august 2014, rachel began new writing newest cookbook, rachel khoo’s kitchen notebook, later released in uk on 12 february 2015. in november 2014, travelled malaysia film episode of series, cook abroad .

2015 present

on 9 march 2015, bbc television aired cook abroad: rachel khoo s malaysia , visited home of father s extended family , explored cuisine of country. khoo filmed fourth television series, rachel khoo s kitchen notebook: melbourne, several months beginning in february 2015. series premiered in australia on 23 july 2015 on network, sbs.in february 2016, announced new judge on australian reality show cooking competition, kitchen rules , series 7th season. khoo filmed program in 2015 while traveling throughout australia. new season began airing on 7 network beginning on 1 february 2016. khoo appears in 6 episodes of program. khoo launched khoollect , lifestyle, fashion, , food-oriented online blog in february 2016.

in april 2016, khoo travelled sydney begin filming reality tv cooking competition, zumbo s desserts, alongside famed pastry chef, adriano zumbo. television series commissioned 7 network, , khoo served 1 of judges. program premiered in australia on 22 august 2016.
