Mirdasid Dynasty List of rulers of Aleppo



the mirdasids conquered aleppo, establishing independence in it, kept autonomy through political maneuvers allying byzantines @ times or fatimid @ others, ibn al-adim aleppan historian lived in 13th century recorded history of mirdasid dynasty in book cream of history of aleppo.



after death of salih, sons nasr , thimal ruled together, in 1030 nasr deposed thimal , ruled solely until killed anushtakin al-dizbari, fatimid governor of damascus, thimal regained aleppo briefly 23 may 13 june 1038 when fatimid army took city bringing fatimid direct rule.



non-dynastic

in december 1041 anushtakin al-dizbari fell out of favor cairo , declared independence in aleppo, died of illness in january 1042.



mirdasid dynasty

thimal regained aleppo , accepted authority of fatimid caliph.



in 1057, fearing family intrigues, thimal handed on aleppo fatimids in return acre, byblos , beirut, returning aleppo fatimid direct control.


in july 1060 thimal nephew, mahmud son of shibl al-dawla nasr regained aleppo lose on 7 august 1060 fatimids.



about 3 weeks later on 30 august 1060 asad al-dawla atiyya son of salih founder of dynasty occupied aleppo day , half fled mu izz al-dawla mahmud advanced on city after defeating fatimid army.
