the game follows rules , conventions of standard chess, following differences:




reserve pieces may not transferred square next friendly king in check.
pieces on board cannot leave board become reserve pieces.
a player 2 or more kings (royal pieces) may ignore check, restrictions on bringing in reserve pieces , buying new pieces above still apply.
players have full knowledge of each player s reserves, treasury, , designs.
stalemate loss stalemated player.
pawns cannot move 2 squares on first move (thus, en passant impossible). pawn promotion , castling illegal.

designs , buying pieces

a player can have no more 6 piece designs @ 1 time, new designs can created removing old designs. pieces in current set of designs can bought, takes @ least 2 turns fairy chess piece on board. removing old design not affect pieces of design on board or in reserves of design.

the number given here multiplied cost of piece modifier applied to.



forward-only: 0.5 orthogonal pieces, 0.7 others
sideways-only: 0.5
backward-only: 0.2 orthogonal piece, 0.4 others
move-only or capture-only: 0.6
wide-only or narrow-only: 0.5 (only applies knight , camel; wide refers more sideways moves, while narrow refers more vertical moves)

royal: 4.0
relay (unofficial: relays power pieces protects): 2.0
shooting (unofficial: captures without moving): 3.0
doublemove (unofficial: moves twice per turn): 6.0
